About Us

Eighteen years of principled education in Juba

Gideon Seed Academy exists to give South Sudanese young people an education that is rigorous, humane and genuinely useful.

Our Mission

To deliver rigorous, values-driven secondary education that equips every student to think clearly, act with integrity and serve their community.

Our Vision

To be South Sudan's leading centre of academic excellence and moral formation — a school whose graduates are recognised anywhere.

Our Promise

No student is anonymous here. Every young person is known by name, tracked weekly, and supported until they succeed.

Our Values

Six commitments we hold each other to

Integrity

We hold our students and staff to an unwavering standard of honesty in work, word and conduct.

Excellence

Every lesson, laboratory session and assessment is designed to stretch students beyond the minimum.

Service

Learning is incomplete until it is used to lift the community it came from.

Discipline

Structure and routine give young people the freedom to do difficult things well.

Faith & Character

We nurture moral courage alongside academic ability, forming whole young adults.

Innovation

Our science, ICT and entrepreneurship programmes teach students to build, not just to memorise.

Dr. Samuel Deng, Principal of Gideon Seed Academy High School

Principal's Message

"We teach students, not subjects."

When parents entrust us with a child, they are handing us the most important years of that young person's formation. We do not take that lightly. Our teachers know every student by name, follow their progress week by week, and intervene long before a problem becomes a failure.

Academic results matter — and ours are among the strongest in Juba. But results alone do not make a leader. Character, discipline and a sense of service are what turn a capable student into someone this country can rely on. That is the education we offer.
